History
How It All Started
After qualifying in 1989 as a Motor Vehicle Technician, Our Founder, David Jones parted company with the world of motor vehicle engineering to embark on a new career with the Japanese Giant that is Seiko.
Working within a small team David learnt the trade of designing, building, installing and operating high precision timing solutions primarily for world stage athletics events such as the Summer & Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games, World Athletics Championships and the Commonwealth Games.

Progressing his career in virtually all forms of sport whether high profile events or local fun and fitness training David, having “been there done that” entered the entrepreneurial world in 2002 forming his own company that is today Sports Timing Systems.
A hands-on dedicated and customer focussed individual responsible for many innovations found within the small world of sports timing & scoring used by World iconic brands such as Red Bull, Formula One, etc etc etc
When David isn’t busy educating people on the difference between photocell and photo-finish, he can be found roaming the skies as a private pilot, challenging himself mentally or physically on the peaks such as Kilimanjaro or simply transporting blood, platelets, samples, surgical instruments, Human donor milk and many other clinical products with his local Blood Bike Group, providing a professional rapid response medical transport service to the NHS, free of charge.
